Improving the quality of light at Wickes' branch in Warrington has contributed to a 35% year on year increase in sales.

The challenge

Wickes is one of the best known names in the DIY business. Greenlite Group's lighting team was commissioned to design, supply and install a lighting refit to the kitchen and bathroom showroom display areas at Wickes in Warrington. At the heart of the brief was a need to show their products in the best and most natural light possible.

Our solution

All of the existing lighting systems were removed and replaced with our low energy, environmentally friendly LED lighting solutions. As part of the lighting refurbishment, Greenlite Group's team designed the lighting to provide the correct colour rendition to ensure all products and furniture was displayed at their natural colours.

What was the outcome?

Significant savings have been made on the cost of the energy used to light the showroom

The payback period to cover the investment in the LED Lighting systems is within the original figures quoted

The carbon emissions associated with the energy usage of the lighting systems at the store have been significantly reduced

Like for like sales at the Warrington Store are up 35% on the previous year, with one of the significant factors being the improved quality of the lighting
